Valleys

I recently took a road trip through and around the mountains. As I was driving through some pretty heavy fog, I was reminded of the Scriptures about mountains and valleys and how God guides us through both.

Up until that point, I never really understood why we would need Him in the valleys when everything seemed flat, going up and down the mountains I got, but everything seemed okay in the valleys. Unless there’s a dense fog where you can’t see 100 feet in front of you.

In life we go through trials and hard times when it’s easiest to rely God and it makes sense. But you should also always trust Him in the valleys, anything could come out of that fog, but Jesus will guide you through. My encouragement today is to seek out God through whatever stage of the journey you’re in.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.” -Psalm 23:4

“Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.” -Psalm 25:4-5

“We live by faith, not by sight.” -2 Corinthians 5:7
