Jaded

Some people may make you feel like you’re worth nothing to them. But you are worth everything to God.  We spend so much time worrying about what others think that we lose focus on the opinion that truly matters.

We put on faces and dress up our lives, Photoshop the imperfections out. We post only what society tells us is good and we build up an image for the world to see. We spend so much time creating for people who don’t really care. When we should be going to the one who never stopped.

Quit living for the wrong people, and start living for the one who died for you. Life is more than our appearance and what we own. Life is for loving people and serving others as we model Christ’s example. Take off the jaded lenses of this world and look for opportunities to share Christ’s love.

“So whatever you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God. Even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many so that they may be saved.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31-33

“Therefore I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- his good, pleasing, and perfect will.” -Romans 12:1-2
