In the Middle

Completely surrounded and feeling like you’re about to go under is a pressure or fear that can get us off track. Sometimes the storm seems too big or the waves are too high. Maybe you’re surrounded by some pressure or maybe under the weight of the world’s definition of success.

It’s easy to be tossed around by the pleasures or words of the world. It might be easy to get consumed in the whole scene this world has to offer. Other times it’s those pressures that take over our life.

Close your eyes and breathe. Take a moment to acknowledge the storm around you, and then look up. God is not going to let you drown today. Let His words and comforting hands guide you through today. Allow Him the power to calm the storm and carry you through.

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:18-19

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning it’s shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
