Let’s take another look at the word trust. If you have a past like mine, it’s a big deal to admit you trust anyone. Trust is broken or lost so easily, but one thing about God is that He never lets us down. So the question becomes why don’t we trust God?
We say we do, don’t get me wrong. But I challenge you to be honest with yourself today. Do you trust Him to take care of you when the job falls through? Do you trust He knows what He’s doing when people revolve in and out of your life? Do you trust in His plan for your life?
Begin thinking of your favorite Bible characters, look at how they learned to trust God. They may or may not have started out on the right path, but God still used them. God uses broken people to complete His work. Those that trust in Him can see that work fulfilled. So think about trust again and think about how much you trust God.
“O Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your words are trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.” -2 Samuel 7:28
“Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” -Psalm 9:10
