Fear is probably the thing I struggle with most. Some of you don’t struggle with that at all, but I bet at least a few of you know what I mean. Whether it’s a fear of making ends meet or a fear of doing something outside your comfort zone, it’s scary and sometimes that fear makes us feel so alone. 

Jesus tells us not to fear; His nature doesn’t provide room for fear. But alas, it creeps up in away and can devour or consume us without much warning. 

So today, I encourage you to fight off fear with prayer and Scripture. Trust God to carry you through and provide the way of escape out of whatever fear you’re struggling with. 

“For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, ‘Do not fear; I will help you.” -Isaiah 41:13

“No temptation has seized you, except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” – 1 Cor. 10:13

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self- discipline.” -2 Timothy 1:7

“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s great pleasure to give you the kingdom.” -Luke 12:32
