Watch

A lot of things catch our attention these days and our attention span seems to only be getting shorter. From moving pictures or light or just our thoughts, it’s easy to get distracted and caught off focus.

When I began writing this I found myself struggling with my own anxieties. But as I continued to focus on the Lord and watch over what my thoughts consisted of I noticed I found a sudden peace.

There’s always going to be a dozen things to do at every minute. And we’re always going to be busy with different things. But if we just pause for a moment, switch our focus for a little while, and watch for moments of peace from our Father, we’ll find less anxiety and fear.

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

-Psalm 46:10

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” -Psalm 139:23-24
