It’s comfortable where we’re at. We stay in our little comfort zones and with people we’re comfortable with. We can’t become this complacent like this. It’s a trap. We become lukewarm in our faith by staying in the bathwater too long.
When was the last time you can honestly say you were effective in your ministry? When was the last time you actively prayed over someone or for someone? When was the last time you stepped outside of your comfort zone and did something unexpected for someone else?
Satan wants us to stay put. Eventually our spiritual tap runs cold but we’re comfortable with that as long as we don’t have to move. If Satan can create a space for us that seems so comfortable, that’s where it becomes a trap.
I once heard an analogy of being in a prison cell with an open door, but around us is everything we need to stay comfortable. We could have left that prison cell, but we were comfortable.
Don’t let your fear of the uncomfortable keep you from actively living out the mission God has for your life.
“Whoever claims to live in Him must walk as Jesus did.” -1 John 2:6
