Sometimes when we suffer, we can look back and identify where things went wrong. Maybe you let something take hold of you or maybe you acknowledged a weak point in your life but thought you could manage on your own. At some point, we all fall into sin as human nature calls.
Many places in Scripture, it reads to be alert and be aware, keep the full armor of God on so you’re prepared. If you do this, Satan won’t stop attacking, but you will be prepared to fight. If you’re aware of the opposing team, you can still try to score.
Likewise, it becomes evident that as we are alert in our spiritual lives, the more victories God helps us through. Today, guard yourself against Satan, pray for wisdom and a ready spirit, and pray for your brothers and sisters who are also being attacked, watch out for them and call them if they seem distracted. Teams work better together because God never wanted man to work alone.
“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering.” -1 Peter 5:8-9
