Faith is easy to have during the good times, it’s easy to praise God and thank Him during times of peace. But where do we turn in times of trouble? Do we really count on God to carry us through? Or do we tend to blame Him for not getting us out of trouble?

Consider Paul and his many episodes of persecution. What about Job who lost almost everything. These are accounts of men who decided to praise God for everything they did have, for everything God did for them. They had faith. 

My prayer for you today is that you find God in what you’re dealing with. That you can count on Him to carry you through His will. That you can have faith. Our suffering on this earth serves a purpose. Maybe we don’t understand it yet, but one day God will share it and it will make sense. 

“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” -1 Corinthians 15:58
