Be Held

As the rush of thoughts surround you and build a cage around your spirit to snuff out the light, what do you do? When you feel so broken, you’re not sure if you can be put together again, where do you turn? When you have everyone you know turn against you or forget about you, and you’re left alone to face your trial, how do you fight this?

Sometimes, we begin to believe these lies, that we aren’t good enough or no one wants us. They start out small and have the power to overwhelm us if we aren’t careful. But they are lies straight from the pit of Satan, and have no power or control over you unless you let them.

I have some reminders for you today. You are never trapped, Christ came down to set you free from your sin and the dark world. You aren’t that broken, and Jesus can fix you into a new creation. You aren’t alone, you are in the presence of your Savior, and He will never leave your side.

With everything you are fighting through today and this week, I encourage you to pray and be held by your Father. He holds you together when you feel like your world is shattering; He holds you when you feel like you’re going to lose your mind; He holds your hand when you go to fight that monster of sin. He’s never going to let you go, and He will never stop loving you.

“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” -Psalm 9:9-10

“For I am the Lord, your God, you takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear, I will help you.” -Isaiah 41:13

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.” -John 10:27-29
