What are you worrying about today? What is on your mind that won’t stop bothering you? Maybe it’s finances, every time you feel like you might just have it together something else comes up. Maybe it’s your health, doctor after doctor and the treatments never work. Maybe your job is pushing you closer and closer to the edge of quitting.
A dozen things could be coming from nowhere yet everywhere driving your attention in every which way. Peace may seem to be a far fetched idea, but if you take just a moment to breathe and pray, it can be found just in that second.
The world wants us to stress about everything and stretch ourselves until there’s nothing left. But how often do we pray for God to take over our lives? Aren’t we supposed to be living for Him anyway? Isn’t our whole purpose on earth to serve Him to our best ability and strive to glorify God?
Today, I challenge you to ask yourself these questions as you pray for God’s peace.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:6-7
